Odho Cosmetics

Atiqa Odho is a popular and talented model and actress of Pakistani industry. In 2003, Atiqa Odho introduced her cosmetics brand names as Odho cosmetics. I remember buying my first red back in 2005(?) from HKB ,Lahore and it was an ODHO lipstick. I was smitten by the beautiful ruby red but my cousin loved the shade so much, she took it from me. After couple of years, the brand started to go in background maybe lack of advertising or marketing but i am glad that they picked up the pace and now we are seeing many Pakistani bloggers review on them. Nothing makes me happy more than to see a local brand offering some good affordable products . I was sent some of the stuff from "Odho cosmetics" and here is the review.

The single pressed eye shadows apply best with fingers over a decent eye primer. I simply dab it over any eye shadow base, I also use MAC paint pots too. These come in variety of shades, some are easy to work with and some are little powdery/Crumbly. Among the four I currently own ‘antique rose” was little more crumbly and had fallouts compared to the rest. My favorite is sweet dreams.The packaging is standard round pots with a decent sized min mirror and a brush in the Bottom compartment. Odho Single pressed eye shadows (ASPE) costs PKR 250/-

Apply them over any glitter base( I recommend krylon glitter eye shadow base). These look gorgeous applied all over alone or paired with some other powder eye shadows or simply smoked out with an intense black for a glamorous look.They come in a small jar with red signature cap. Within family of four shades Red/Pink/Orange/Brown are 40 obvious colours that makeup the perfect range of lipsticks. Odho lipsticks are animal fat free/lead free / Perfume free, in short making the whole lipstick range halal. The lipstick comes in a golden bullet with red caps. I have to say i do like the packaging. These lipsticks come in different formulas. I felt the one with glitter "Pleasure" was the most wearable shade but unfortunately the glitter was way too gritty and i didn't like how it felt on my lips.The bashful is very 90s inspired shade. These are creamy and pigmented, some shades are less creamier than other like the glitter ones . Also i felt the lipsticks were little drying and accentuated fine line. But overall i feel the formula needs little improvement for the price. Odho lipsticks costs PKR676/-

Over all i do recommend the eye products since for me they were the clear winner, Regarding lipsticks maybe the shades were little off for my taste or the formula, i have to say , i didnt love them as much as i was hoping for.Odho cosmetics is available in all major cities and you can check out list of stores/cities HERE .

The shade i use most of the above are Mauve outta Here ,Spiked with rum and Smokin Hot Pink . These shades complement my skin wonderfully.And the Smokin Hot pink is the closet dupe for MAC moxie in my collection . The Wet 'n' Wild Mega Last Lipcolors are creamy , applies smoothly ,pigmented so they are really opaque But could be little drying on those who have naturally dry lips without a lip balm. The lipsticks dont have any smell. The packaging is very basic but for the price i dont have any complaints.One thing is absolutely love about these lipstics is that for the mmatte,these are very comfortable on lips.

Revlon Ultra lipsticks look very similar to the Revlon lip butter and formula is moisturizing like them so I am assuming these might be the upgraded versions of the lip butters. The formula is very unique, my first thought when I saw the lipsticks were, these don’t look so pigmented but I was wrong. They look like lipsticks, feels like a lip-gloss and they make my lips looking supple and plump. You need 2-3 good swipes to get the accurate color. The formula is beautiful, it applies with pulling or tugging and no streaking. It doesn’t accentuate fine line nor dry out lips. You can see from the swatches that i am not wearing any lipblam and yet these are moisturizing . The finish is glossy but they don't have much of slip like the lip butters had. Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks lasts 2-3 hours on me without eating or drinking .

Packaging is looks beautiful no doubt. It looks very elegant and expensive but its prone to accidents. Like if you twisting the lipstick cap up or down, you can easily nick the lipstick bullet or smear it to the sides. The lid is clear , making it easier to spot the shades.

Among the three shades i own, my absolute favorite is Rose,which is a beautiful rosy pink, which is almost like a MLBB shade on me. All of the shades are very beautiful and perfect for summer. The Hydrangea is a very summer-ish coral shade which is suit any skintone and Orchid is one of those shade which brightens up the whole look . All the shades i have micro shimmer which is very fine and bearly noticeable on lips.

Overall: I enjoy using the new Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks.. I love how they feel moisturizing on the lips and make them look supple and plump. I see myself wearing these throughout summer because they don't feel heavy on the lips and The secret is in the clear gel base which provides a weightless feel with a smoother, more even application than traditional wax-based lipsticks.

The Dior Rose Diamond skin shimmer is part of Dior star family . The same family which Dior amber diamonds belong to Diorskin shimmer star family . I bought Rose shimmer powder quite a long time ago and i have been using it quite often as you can see from the usage. Initially i wanted to buy the amber diamond but typical me who is always attracted towards pinky/mauvy cheek s products , I got the Rose Diamonds . Yes i know the price is steep but i think its worth the price But If you want more color i will suggest you to check out Rose. But If you want more of a bronzy look, go for Amber. The packaging is classic and sturdy . It comes in a beautiful navy compact with a huge mirror.

The product itself is Soft and finely milled.I was scared that it might little more glittery but on application , i noticed that there are no obvious glitter in highlighter but beautiful sheen.But ofcourse blending the highlighter is the key to most natural effect. It gives pearlescent baby pink glow.I see myself reaching for it usually when I am using a matte blush like Nars amour or Illamasqua Excite. Its quite versatile in my opinion. I use it as a highlighter but lighter skin tones can certainly use it as blush as it gives little bit of colour as well as shimmer . When i am using it ,I swirl my brush around all shades and then I sweep it over my cheekbones, and then very lightly across the bridge of my nose and my forehead or cupid bow. I love the way it looks . It also photographs really well. Dior Rose Diamond shimmer lasts almost 6-8 hours on me.

I first spotted these at AL Fatah (D.H.A) in mid-May, I was in rush so I didn’t stop to get one although I dreamed about them later. These are a great alternative to the ABH dip brow at a fraction of the cost.

I am certainly enjoying the Essence eye brow gel. It is quick and easy product to fill in your eyebrows using the precise angled brush by essence.It gives me more natural looking eyebrows. The texture is gel/wax sand more on the sheerer side and it’s not at creamy as ABH dip brow if we may compare and so it needs little more blending with a spoolie. If you are new to the eyebrow game, this is will be your best friend , because it is easy on pocket and since it isn’t insanely pigmented, you have to build up the color that makes it easy to forgive if you made a wrong stroke ;) Its not quite waterproof or smudge proof so It comes off easily if you wash your face or using makeup remover wipes/liquids.I use ABH clear brow gel at the end to set it and it does make it last longer. It's buildable,affordable and looks natural.

As you can see from the before & after photo above that eyebrow gel gives a natural but defines look. I use the Essence precise eyeliner brush, run it through the gel, I start applying at the top in upward strokes, going towards center and then the bottom.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this brush, shall we? The brush is indeed very adorable looking with the floral print on the mint body. This is perfect to fill in eyebrows,eyeliner no matter you are doing winged liner , pinup,Arabic, cat eyes, dramatic or keeping it simple everyday. The angles brush draw razor thin lines to bold dramatic thick lines.I am mainly using it for the eyebrows ,it makes brows so easy to do. I own regular essence angled brush which i use with my gel liners.This comes with an amazing price ,easy to wash & clean,no shedding or bleeding of bristles, and the pouch makes it easier to carry it for vacations or travelling .

A match made in heaven , I keep reviewing essence products and i keep insisting you all to go and check them out. They keep coming out with some amazing affordable products. Not everyone can have a heart to spend $20 on a dipbrow , so essence eyebrow gel is a great alternative and the brush is a beauty. It is pretty and so multi tasker.

Rimmel's Lasting Finish Primer visibly blurs and minimizes pores and imperfections. This primer helps skin look instantly smoother and appears brightened.

This is currently my favorite foundation primer. I have dry skin and what I have noticed that this is more on the creamy side rather than silicon. It applies and absorbs easily into my skin and leaves a smooth, soft finish for foundation application. I have noticed that it does minimize the look of my pores. But I am not sure how it will work on the people with larger pores or imperfections.
